Obituary

Jacques R. Jules, a devoted family man, and cherished member of his community, passed away on April 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and kindness that touched all who knew him. Born on October 19, 1937, Jacques’s life was marked by a steadfast commitment to his family, and his faith.

Jacques began his career as both an accountant and a mathematics teacher, demonstrating from an early age his aptitude for numbers and education. After completing high school in Cap-Haitien, he pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree. In the early 1960s, Jacques met his beloved wife, Alice, a relationship that blossomed into a partnership centered on love, faith, and family. Together, they welcomed 2 sons, Ronalds and Wylls. Seeking greater opportunities, on December 29th, 1969, the family emigrated from Haiti to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York, where Jacques continued to build a meaningful life.

In December 1970, Jacques secured employment with Ford Motor Company in New Jersey. They welcomed their daughter Carla in 1972. His career with Ford later led him to Kansas City, Missouri, where he further expanded his impact. Beyond his corporate career, Jacques was a passionate advocate for workers’ rights, actively participating in his union to promote employment opportunities for others. His engaging personality, notable for his storytelling and political involvement as a delegate, mobilized and inspired those around him. Additionally, Jacques utilized his linguistic skills as a translator for Language Links.

Jacques was not only a dedicated professional but also a man of deep faith. His generosity extended beyond his time and resources, as he continually sought to provide and care for his family and community alike. Those who knew him remember his heartfelt devotion as a husband, father, and grandfather. A true family man who was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jaques is preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Nemorin & Rose Innocent; sisters, Leonne Nemorin, and Marie Jean Baptist; and brother Leo Jean Baptist.
