Jeffery L. Chapman Jr., 39, passed away on June 24, 2026.
Born on November 17, 1986, in Smithville, Missouri, to Jeffery L. Chapman Sr. and Michelle D. Chapman, Jeffery lived a life marked by determination, resilience, and a deep love for his family and the things that brought him joy. Throughout his life, Jeffery faced the unique challenges of autism with strength and perseverance, supported by the unwavering love of his family. His faith in God was an important part of his life and brought him comfort and guidance.
Jeffery graduated from Park Hill High School and briefly worked at Price Chopper. He had a lifelong love of athletics, playing basketball, football, and soccer while growing up. As an adult, he remained a devoted fan of Kansas Jayhawks basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs, rarely missing an opportunity to follow his favorite teams. He enjoyed reading sports magazines, staying active through regular workouts, and was naturally athletic throughout his life.
Jeffery also appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including a good cup of coffee. He treasured time spent with his family, especially vacations with his mother, including memorable ski trips that brought him great happiness.

Comstock; paternal grandparents, John and Virginia Chapman; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles W. Comstock.
