Jewell Faye Ledbetter, passed away on May 15, 2026.

Jewell Faye Ledbetter, 90, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on May 15, 2026. She was born on December 29, 1935, in Forum, Arkansas to Thomas and Lydia (Glocksien) Hinds.

On October 13, 1954, Jewell married Junior Ledbetter, and from this union they were blessed with three children. Jewell was known as a hardworking and caring woman who devoted 17 years to working in the cafeteria at New Mark Middle School. Her talent in the kitchen didn't stop there - as she was a great baker - especially her homemade pies.

Following her retirement, Jewell moved to Warsaw, where she lived for the past 34 years. Being near the lake, she made many wonderful memories with family while fishing. Jewell was a faithful member of Lakeside Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching sports and was an enthusiastic fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and NASCAR racing.

Jewell is preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Lydia Hinds; husband, Junior Ledbetter; children, Jim Ledbetter and Nancy Ledbetter; sister, Evelyn May; and son-in-law, Virgil Wigger.

She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter, Patricia Wigger; granddaughters, Lisa Ledbetter and Jessica (James) Christensen; great grandchildren, Ethan and Khloe; siblings, Ken Hinds, Nathan Hinds, and June Ledbetter; and numerous extended family and friends.

Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, May 21st at Lakeside Baptist Church in Warsaw, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Terrace Park Cemetery on Friday, May 22nd at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church.
