Visitation for Jewell Reynolds will be at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on December 27, from 6-8PM. Service will be at the First Christian Church of Smithville at 1PM on Wednesday, December 28 with burial to follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.

Jewell Deane (Julie) Reynolds, 90, of Smithville, Missouri, was born to the late Guy and Ruth Randol of February 06, 1932 in Creighton, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Jackie J. Reynolds on November 27, 1952 and together they had two children.

Jewell was proudly employed as a secretary at various jobs. She first became a secretary for the recorder’s office in Plattsburg, MO. She then became a secretary to the Executive Vice President of the Business Mens Assurance Co. (BMA). After raising her children, in 1984 and until retirement, Jewell worked for the American Angus Hall of Fame.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Smithville for many years and loved Christ with all her heart.

Jewell participated in many activities throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Clay Platte Trackers Volkswalking club, walking 10Ks in every state, including Alaska and Hawaii. She even walked every continent. Jewell was a woman who did not let her age define her. She was a kind, loving, and thrifty person who’s family meant everything to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and four sisters.

Jewell is survived by her children: Jill (Kelly) Blankenship; and Neil Reynolds.
