Joan "Angie" Angela Havens, 59, of Kansas City, MO, entered into the arms of Jesus and passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026 at NorthCare Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Angie was born on November 26, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Joan Getzinger. She lived a life defined by kindness, intention, and deep care for others, especially for her three children. Her love of children extended beyond her family and was shown through various pasttimes such as teaching in the church's Missionettes program. When she wasn't devoting her time to the care of others she was often found cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Kansas City Royals. Family outings to the "K" and her collection of baseball cards were just some of the ways she showed her support. Angie had a way of making each person feel seen and valued, offering unwavering support in every season of life.

She is survived by her children Emily, Molly (Wyatt) and Tommy, her sister Sandie (Mike), her Aunt Sandy and her life-long partner, Mike. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Joan Getzinger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th St, Kansas City, MO 64155 . Visitation will be Monday evening, April 6th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00am followed by burial at Terrace Park Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend to honor and celebrate Angie’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NorthCare Hospice House in Angie’s memory.
