Joanne Elizabeth Hine, a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 9, 1938, in Michigan, Joanne led a life characterized by love, family, and cherished memories.

Joanne devoted her life to raising her family, always placing their needs above her own. She was married to her beloved husband, William, with whom she shared 64 years of companionship before his passing. Their bond was a testament to enduring love, as they navigated life's journeys side by side, creating beautiful memories together. The couple enjoyed many adventures, including frequent trips to Las Vegas and Florida, which brought them joy and laughter.

A nurturing presence in her family, Joanne was the embodiment of kindness, always offering a warm smile and encouraging words to those she encountered. Her close-knit relationship with her sisters remained a constant source of strength and joy throughout her life, as she made it a point to visit them often and maintain those vital connections.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Joanne was known for her culinary talents. She was an excellent cook, with Italian dishes being her specialty, and loved to treat her family to delicious meals that brought everyone together. Joanne had a passion for shopping and enjoyed the thrill of gambling, which added excitement to her life.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents James and Leda Carro, her son; William Hine Jr.; brother, Jimmy Carro; and sister, Dorene Melvin.

She is survived by her daughter Lisi (Antonio) Perdomo; grandchildren, Maria (Gary) Curiale-Sapp, Anthony Curiale; sisters, Judith Woods, Dorothy Conway, Dianne Jarois, and Sharon Blakenship.

Joanne Elizabeth Hine will be remembered for her vibrant personality, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to spread joy to all around her. Her legacy of kindness and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
