Kansas City

Jodi Ann Mason, age 59, died peacefully in her home in Kansas City on January 13, 2026.

She was born on December 1, 1966, in Minnesota, where she also grew up. After graduating high school, she and her family moved to Kansas City where she met the love of her life, Jim Mason, while bowling at the Gladstone Bowl. The two were married at Avondale United Methodist Church on September 12, 1998. Their joyful union was even featured in the Kansas City Star, something Jodi always took pride in.

Jodi was a dedicated worker for many years with Vocational Services in Liberty, Missouri. Outside of work she loved spending time with Jim, bowling, going to dances, reading, doing word searches, vacationing with family, going to Olive Garden for special occasions and enjoying cheesecake for dessert.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Zimmerman. Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband of 27 years, Jim Mason, along with her brother Troy (Donna) Wobshall, step-father Dan Zimmerman, sisters-in-law Sandy Mezger, Susan (Bob) Bagby, Chris Zagorach, brother-in-law Gene (Pam) Mason, and many nieces and nephews.

Jodi was blessed to have the care and support of Life Unlimited, especially the staff that loved and cared for her over the years.

Jodi will be remembered for her loving spirit, her fondness of joking around with friends and family, and the happiness she found in everyday life.

A memorial service will be held at Terrace Park North Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St., Kansas City, MO 64155 on Monday February 2nd with visitation beginning at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 10:30am.
