John Edward Overall

John E. Overall passed away on September 26, 2025.

John was born January 2, 1941 in Kansas City , KS to Edward and Margaret Overall. He attended De La Salle High School, upon graduating he joined the United States Navy. He had a long, successful career with TWA working as a lead inspector and mechanic. His mechanical abilities served him well in life as he could fix anything and lived by the motto - "You can't see it from the highway". John had a lifelong love of baseball , cheering for the Red Sox since his youth, coaching his sons' baseball leagues, and playing fast pitch softball into his later years. John was fortunate for the time spent teaching, traveling, laughing, and making lasting memories with his loved ones.

He will be fondly remembered by his sons, David and Christopher Overall, grandchildren, Dawn (Gannon), Jessi (Mike), Andrew (Amber), and Samantha; great grandchildren, Keegan and Emmry; significant other, Judy Leach and many extended family and friends. He is preceded by his wives, Marilyn and Barbara; son, Edward Overall; sister, Pat Trembly; and nephew, Matthew Trembly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Friday, October 3rd, with visitation beginning at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am and burial with military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
