In his spare time, Joey immersed himself in the world of comic books and superheroes, reveling in their captivating narratives. He also had a knack for creating with his hands, skillfully crafting various items for his loved ones. No challenge was too great if it meant fulfilling a need or want for his beloved daughter, Jena. Joey’s connection to family extended beyond immediate relatives. His late grandfather, Joseph Patrick Monahan, was a source of inspiration and pride. As a member of the MLB Hall of Fame inductee, Joey admired his grandfather's achievements and carried on his legacy with immense honor. Left to cherish the memory of Joseph are his daughter Jena Monahan, who will forever hold him close within her heart. His mother Robin Boydston and father Johnny Boydston feel a profound loss from his absence. Crystal Willis, his sister; Brandon Bruns, his brother; Mea Eddington, Halie Eddington, Courtney Eddington, Robin Bruns, and River Bruns, his nieces; all share in the grief for Joseph's departure. The passing of Joseph Monahan leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those lucky enough to have known him.
