Joyce M. Campbell

Joyce Marie Campbell, age 88 of Kansas City Missouri passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025 at North Care Hospice in NKC Health in North Kansas City, MO.

She was the wife of Donald Lee Campbell and they shared 70 years of marriage.

Joyce was raised by both of her parents, Harold and Leora Cartright, along with 4 brothers Bob, Gary, Galen, and Ronnie in Joplin Missouri.

Joyce devoted most of her younger life to several years of nursing in Joplin, Missouri. Later on in life she moved on to obtain a degree in Montessori Preschool education. She taught for several years and then eventually devoted her life to full retirement.

Joyce enjoyed 3 main hobbies in her life which included playing the piano, writing poetry, and serving the Lord in her church. In her younger years she played the piano for her husbands quartet and was very grateful to have several of her poems published and later having a full book of poems published. She was also very active in her church, taking on many different roles throughout her life.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband Donald Lee Campbell, her children Gail McLane (Mike McLane) and Stephen Campbell (Mary Campbell), her 5 grandchildren Dawn O’Neill (Ryan O’Neill), Shawn McLane (Misty McLane), Stephanie Cook (Joel Cook), Mindy McEuen (Kevin McEuen), and Michael Breadon (Lindsey Breadon). 10 great-grandchildren Preston O’Neill, Hayden O’Neill, Kylie McLane, Josh Wilson, Andrew Cook, MaryAnn Huffstetler, Ian McEuen, Ashley Breadon, Austin Breadon, and Jordan Breadon. 1 great-great grandchild Jaxon Breadon.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Leora Cartright, and her 4 brothers Bob Cartright, Gary Cartright, Galen Cartright, and Ronnie Cartright.

Joyce's legacy lives on through her love for the Lord, her family, and all of the lives she touched throughout her life.
