December 17, 1958 — February 1, 2024

Kansas City

Karen Rene (Moberly) Osborn of Kansas City, MO passed away to her eternal home and touched the face of Jesus at St. Luke’s Plaza Hospital on Thursday, morning, February 01, 2024.

Karen was born in Kansas City, MO at Research Hospital on December 17,1958 to Rev. Jasper and Virginia Moberly, who preceded her in death. The family were all devout Christians and Karen accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was deeply involved in her church, focusing on outreach ministry until her health deteriorated.

On August 18, 1979, Karen married Mark Marshall Osborn at Harmony Heights Baptist Church, where they first met. To this union one beloved son was born, Matthew Marshall Osborn on September 02, 1986. Over the years of their marriage their most cherished memories were the wedding of their son in 2013 and the births of their two wonderful grandchildren in 2015 and 2017. This year they were looking forward to their 45th wedding anniversary.

Karen was not selfish with her time, volunteering at her church and Matthew’s school. She was also an avid reader, Chief’s fan, and a huge animal lover; and she loved cooking, gardening, and games.

She is survived by the” loves of her life”, her husband, Mark and son, Matthew (Holly), grandchildren, Ava Grace and Ethan Issac Osborn, Horace, ND; sisters:  Linda Loafman and Carol Golden, Kansas City area; brother Roger (Teresa) Moberly, Auburn, NE; In-laws, Gary (Dixie) Osborn-Brelsford, Vero Beach, FL.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Saturday, February 10,2024 at 1:00 pm; followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm and burial – Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City, MO 64155 at the Lakeside Memorial Building on the premises.
