Kenneth Edward Houston

July 18, 1991 — August 27, 2023

Kansas City

Kenneth "Kenny" Edward Houston, 32, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 27, 2023.

Kenny was born on July 18, 1991 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Edward "Eddie" Houston and Linda Duncan. Kenny was a graduate of North Kansas City Highschool. He possessed an admirable work ethic, working at various restaurants, as well as Dollar General, Walmart and C.H. Guenther - Pizza Blends. Despite his busy schedule, he always found time for the things that brought him joy. In his spare time he enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, and cuddling beneath a pile of blankets, but his two greatest loves were his family and stock car racing. He took racing very seriously, and believed in all the racing superstitions - like never eating chicken on race day. His favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Clint Boyer.

Kenny’s heart of gold will never be forgotten. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his father, Eddie Houston; mother and step father, Linda and Robert Duncan; sister, Melissa; step sisters, Alyssa and Aleena; and his favorite buddy and nephew, Brooks; grandparents, Kenneth and Martha Gabbert; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Edward Sr. and Gloria Jean Houston; and aunt, Diana Campbell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northland Cathedral on Thursday, September 7th, with visitation beginning at 5:00pm, followed by the memorial service at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Society or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
