Kenneth Lynn McGlothlin, Sr., a steadfast soul and devoted family man, took his final bow on June 4, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 7, 1941, Kenneth lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories. His heart, as big as his passion for life, radiated warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
With an unwavering commitment to his craft, Kenneth dedicated 33 fulfilling years as a sheet metal mechanic for TWA. His skills were not merely a means to provide; they were an extension of his character, reflective of a man who believed in hard work and integrity. In addition to his professional achievements, Kenneth answered the call to serve his country in the Navy, embodying a spirit of bravery and patriotism that he carried throughout his life.
Ken was a vibrant presence, often found engaged in lively games of Yahtzee with family and friends, his hearty laughter echoing throughout their gatherings. Memories of family home videos depict a man full of joy, surrounded by loved ones in a house that always felt like a celebration, where neighbors became part of the extended family. His door was always open, welcoming, and inviting, a testament to his good-hearted nature.
A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kenneth didn’t just follow their games; he fought the good fight, cheering them on with an unwavering spirit that mirrored his approach to life. He embraced both triumphs and setbacks with a resilience that inspired those around him.
Ken leaves behind a legacy shimmering with kindness and camaraderie, and while he has departed from our sight, his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is gone, the echoes of his laughter and the warmth of his presence will continue to resonate through the memories he created.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family which include his wife of 42 years, Rita McGlothlin; children: Kenneth (Cinda) McGlothlin, Jr., Tamara (Glenn) Wilson, Wesley McGlothlin, Teri Feeney and Dave Dudley, and Chris McGlothlin; grandchildren: Haley, Savannah, Zakk, Sethahnie, Zoe, Zella, Seth, Devin and Ella, McKenna, Macy, and Hannah; great grandchildren: Lena and Mateo; brother: Michael (Jacque) McGlothlin; nieces: Kim Payne and Donna McGlothlin Martin; as well as many other family, friends, and neighbors.
