Kenneth H. Riley, 61, of Platte City, MO passed away on June 2, 2021. Kenneth was born on June 10, 1959, in Fairfax, MO to Edmond and Peggy (Harger) Riley. Kenneth was living in his hometown of Tarkio, Missouri when he met Helen Casebolt in 1976. They met at church camp in Excelsior Springs, MO. Kenneth graduated High School from Tarkio in 1977.

Upon graduation he entered the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. After basic training he left for Germany in 1978. Kenneth and Helen were married on January 18, 1979, later that same year they welcomed their first-born daughter, Tabitha. In October of 1979, he transferred from Germany to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where they resided till 1982. He completed his active-duty requirements and they returned to Kansas City, where he continued his service with the US Army Reserve. In 1983, Kenneth and Helen completed their family with the birth of their second daughter, Tanya. Kenneth started his career as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Office in 1986. For the next 20 plus years he continued to climb his way up in his career, while raising the girls with Helen.

Kenneth was a great man of faith, always putting God first. He loved his wife, his daughters and family unconditionally. He loved the Army, the Chiefs, and enjoyed the beach and ocean while collecting shells. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, shopping, and cooking for his family. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music and was always willing to play DJ. Kenneth was a great man of service and touched the lives of anyone he encountered. He will forever be missed and loved by many.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his Father Edmond Riley. He is survived by his Mother Peggy Harger, Loving wife Helen Riley, his 2 Daughters Tabitha Brown and Tanya Riley, his seven Grandchildren: Taylor Brown, Braiden Wennihan, Alexis Brown, Brooklyn Wennihan, Kamryn Brown, Bailey Wennihan, and Ava Brown. His Brother Edmond Riley Jr., Sister Kema Pinzino, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Services for Kenneth will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home with Visitation Sunday June 6, 2021, from 5-7PM. Funeral Service on Monday June 7, 2021, at 11AM with Graveside and honors following the funeral. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Kenneth H. Riley Memorial Fund.
