Larry Richards

Larry Eldon Richards, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on September 5, 2022.

Larry was born on January 8, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harry and Marie (Donhoe) Richards. After graduating from high school in 1958 he began his long career installing window treatments. In February 1963, he was married. Shortly thereafter, along with his family, Larry moved to Kansas City North where he was a long-time resident.  When he wasn’t hard at work, Larry enjoyed watching sports – especially the Kansas City Royals. He also enjoyed fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks where he had a vacation home. Larry was a devoted Catholic and attended St Raphael parish with his family for many years.  Larry is preceded in death by his parents. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Rebecca; son, Jeffrey (Joanne Wildscheutz) Richards; son, Michael Richards; grandchildren, Colette, Laura & Abigail Richards and his sister, Linda Hoppers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park on Friday, September 9th, with visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, immediately followed by the funeral service and burial. Contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
