Glenn
November 16, 1939 – June 7, 2026
Leanne Glenn, age 86, passed away on June 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Leanne was born on November 16, 1939, in Springfield, Missouri. As the daughter of a military father, her childhood was filled with adventure and travel as the family moved frequently. One of her most memorable experiences was living in Guam for five years before returning to Mobile, Alabama.
Following her time in Mobile, Leanne moved to the Kansas City area where she pursued her passion for helping others and earned her nursing degree. She began a distinguished career dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. She worked briefly in labor and delivery for Research Hospital before joining Kansas City Public Health. There, she spent 30 years serving as supervisor. Committed to lifelong learning, Leanne later earned her master's degree.
Leanne shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Bobby Glenn. Their journey began when Bobby came to repair her television, a chance meeting that blossomed into a lasting romance. Together they built a life, sharing 42 wonderful years of marriage.
Leanne's love of travel never stopped. She visited all 50 states and enjoyed memorable trips to Iceland, Ireland, Europe, and many other favorite destinations. She also embraced new experiences closer to home, learning clog dancing and performing alongside Bobby at venues including Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead and Silver Dollar City.
Leanne faithfully served the Lord throughout her life and was known for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness. Above all else, she cherished her family and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Leanne is preceded in death by her husband and stepsons. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Donna (Mike) Taylor, Kathy Wetzel, Timothy Glenn, Kevin (Regean) Glenn, and Shari Helars; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Glass Chapel at Terrace Park Cemetery beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
