Les N. Weaver

Leslie Norman Weaver joined his Lord in Heaven on May 30, 2025. He was born on August 5, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Carl and Elizabeth Weaver.

Les, and his twin sisters spent his youth in sunny California. Though the family later returned to the Kansas City area during his teenage years, Les never lost his laid-back, go-with-the-flow California spirit.

He graduated from Oak Park High School in Gladstone, MO, where he received many accolades as a champion debater - a skill that he never lost. He went on to attend UMKC and soon after began what would become a long and successful career in the restaurant business.

While managing one of those restaurants, fate served him the greatest blessing of his life—meeting Tena, who would become his beloved wife of nearly 51 years. Les transitioned into the world of sales, where his natural charm and gift for conversation made him a friend to many. Later in life, Les and Tena owned and operated a restaurant in the Northland. . When he wasn't hard at work, he enjoyed traveling to the lake, bowling, camping, and especially spending time with his granddaughters.

Les will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Tena Weaver; children, Ryan (Kristy) Weaver and Brandi (Chad) Kershner; granddaughter, Grace, Hattie, Annabelle, and Zoey; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St Judes.
