Linda Marie
Frias
Aug 17, 1949 — Aug 9, 2026
Linda Marie Frias, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on August 9, 2026.
Linda was born on August 17, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the oldest of six children born to Robert Grado Sr. and Phyllis Madrigal Grado. Linda graduated from Northeast High School in 1967 and worked for many years in the banking industry as a check processor for Commerce Bank, later known as Merchant Bank. She was known for her generous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. Her kindness and caring nature touched the lives of many people throughout her life.
Family was especially important to Linda. She created countless wonderful memories with her nieces and nephews, often taking them shopping—a favorite pastime of hers. She especially loved searching for treasures at estate sales and could turn an ordinary outing into an adventure.
Linda also loved to dance, a joy she learned from her parents, who hosted many get-togethers while she was growing up. Music, dancing, family, and good times were a special part of her life. And, of course, Linda enjoyed a good margarita.
Linda was a proud godmother to six of her nieces and nephews, a role she cherished deeply. She will be remembered for her generosity, her love of family, and the many memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Grado Sr. and Phyllis Madrigal Grado; and her siblings, Bobby Grado Jr., Sally Gasca, and David Grado Sr.
She will be fondly remembered by her husband, Guadalupe Frias; brother, Bernie (Christine) Grado; sister, Irene (Cosme) Anzua; aunt, Guadalupe Grado; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her.
A memorial service honoring Linda's life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Avenida Cesar E. Chavez, Kansas City, MO 64108, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
