Margaret Katherine Aubrey
Margaret was born October 2, 1937 to Robert W. and Amelia (Griffith) Tracy in Neodesha, Wilson County, KS. and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 17, 2026 in Gladstone, MO at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerry L. Aubrey. She is survived by four children, Jeffrey Aubrey of Gladstone, MO., Robert Aubrey of Madison, MS., David (Shae) Aubrey of Kansas City, MO., and Tracy (Mark) Ernst of Kansas City, MO. She has six grandchilden, Alicia (Austin) Jones of Parkville, MO., Wesley (Shara) Aubrey of Batavia, OH., Scott (Yolonda) Ernst of Overland Park, KS., Sarah (Kevin) Robison of Kansas City, MO., Bobby Aubrey of Clinton, MS., Alexa Aubrey and fiance Austin Kuriger of Canton, MS. and eight great grandchilden, Miles, Max, Luke, Logan, Lawson, Oliver, Graham and Isla. Extended family includes Jordan (Jamie) and Mayzie Millam of Lenexa, KS., Jillian (Caleb) Johnson of Ozark, MO. She also left behind several granddogs and grandcats. She was a lover of house pets.
Margaret had various occupations over the years including working at Southwestern Bell, NKC School District, TG&Y store, A to Z Plumbing, then retiring as Secretary to Director of Nursing at Kendlewood Trails Nursing Center in Gladstone, MO. in 1995. Above all, her main occupation was homemaker and mother.
She was a member of the Faubion United Methodist Church in Gladstone, MO. since the 1960s. She attended elementary school in Neodesha, KS. and graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1955. She was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan, always looking forward to watching and cheering her teams on.
Margaret loved her family. She was an avid shopper, always finding the deals in stores and online at QVC, making all occasions and holidays very special. She also had many treasured collections. It is rumoured that QVC will not survive financially without her patronage.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to St. Jude or Wayside Waifs.
Services will be Thursday May 21, 2026 at Faubion Methodist Church in Gladstone, MO. The visitation will be at 10:00am followed by services at 11:00am. The burial will be at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery in Kansas City, MO, following the service.
She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Hugs and kisses GG, we love you.
