Margaret "Sue" Evans, 77, passed away on January 30, 2024.
Sue was the first baby born in the state of Michigan on January 1, 1947. She was born and raised in Plainwell, Michigan before moving to Chicago in her late teens. It was while working for North Central Airlines that she met the love of her life, Leonard Evans. Sue and Leaonard moved to the Kansas City area in 1966 and were married shortly after in 1967. This marriage was blessed with two children, and from then on Sue made it her main priority to care for her children and the family home. She lived a full life traveling to destinations like Hawaii, Bahamas, and Alaska. When she was home she enjoyed painting ceramics, playing penny slots at the casino, and snuggling up to her bulldog, Peggy Sue.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Margaret Gould and brother, John Gould. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Leonard Evans; children, Alan (Julie) Evans and Jennifer (Shawn) Weber; grandchildren, Alex, Branden, Steven, Alyssia, Shelby, Natalee, Haylee, and Brook; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Rex Gould, Jan Huff, and Gloria (Jay) Earl; and many extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3rd from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
