Margaret Carolyn Wyatt, 77, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on June 18th, 2023 in Harrisonville., Missouri. She was born on March 9th, 1946 in Ohio to Francis and Ruth Hogue. Her family moved soon after to the Kansas City area where she grew up and graduated from North Kansas City High School.
Her natural talent of being meticulous and orderly came in handy in various ways including in her long career as an accountant. She spent most of her career at BKD and will always be remembered for her diligence and devotion to her job. Margaret thrived in the organized and efficient world of numbers. Her focus led to many successes throughout her professional life.
Margaret placed a strong emphasis on faith and family. Family meals were an essential part of life for the Wyatts. She spent countless hours preparing big hearty meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her love for cooking overflowed into other areas of her life as well.
A devout Christian all her life, Margaret was a proud member of Kingdom Hall of Harrisonville, that reflected the many virtues of serving the Lord and others with love and a forgiving heart. These values shone through in the way she carried herself and treated everyone around her.
In addition to spending time with loved ones around the table, Margaret found joy in many hobbies. She took great pride in cultivating a beautiful flower garden that would entrance anyone who caught a glimpse of its colorful display. Margaret was also an avid antiquer who enjoyed discovering hidden gems in thrift stores or antique markets.
She is preceded in death by her late parents; husband of 47 years, Lee Wyatt; and siblings, William Bower, Pamela Malcolm, and Patricia Ellers-Hodge. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susie (Matt) Phalp of Pueblo West, Colorado; brother, Richard (Janet) Vautard; nieces and nephews, Paul Wyatt, Robin Wyatt, Daniel Wyatt, and Jessica Vautard; and great nieces Danielle Wyatt and Jessica Wyatt.
The memorial service to remember Margaret Carolyn Wyatt's long life of honorable achievements will take place at Kingdom Hall of Harrisonville, Missouri (21904 E 283rd St ) on Saturday, July 8th at 2pm. A graveside service was held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Saturday, June 24th, starting at 10:00am.
