Margie Hooten

Margie L. Hooten, 67, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was born August 23, 1955, in Gary, Indiana to the late Thomas and Marge (Louks) Howard.

Margie met the love of her life Bob when they both were attending Purdue University; and remained happily married for 47 years. Together Margie and Bob loved traveling and went to Disney 38 times, multiple trips to Hawaii. In 2019, they took a dream trip to the United Kingdom, where she had tea with a Duchess. Margie was the life of the party and dearly loved by everyone especially her former coworkers and those in her coffee club.

She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Christa (Rob) Benner and son Scott (Randi) Hooten and grandchildren Nora and Andy Benner.

In addition to her parents Margie is preceded in death by her brothers Jon and Joe Howard.

Interment at Terrace Park Cemetery will be private; a gathering of friends and family is tentatively being planned on May 6, 2023, for everyone who loved Margie and will miss her.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Margie’s name to the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation for pancreatic cancer .
