In Loving Memory of Maria Theresa Cronin

Maria Theresa Cronin, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023 at the age of 95. Born on November 15, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, Maria lived a life filled with love, creativity and a zest for connecting with others. She now joins her husband, Robert J. Cronin, in eternal rest.

Maria will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, James (Colleen) and John (Michele). She was a source of strength and inspiration to her family providing unwavering support and love throughout her life. Maria’s six cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Elizabeth, David, Maxwell, Emma and Alexander, were a constant source of joy and pride for her and her memory will live on in their lives.

Maria had a passion for art, particularly painting and crafting. She continued to paint even into the last year of her life and would often give her paintings to anyone she met whether at the doctor's office or extended family members.

A true social butterfly, Maria was a stranger to no one. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people. Maria’s infectious laughter and joyful spirit could light up a room and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Maria’s legacy of love, creativity and connection will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.

There will be a family service on Tuesday, June 20.

Maria and Robert always supported St. Jude’s Hospital. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in her name. You can go to their website to make a memorial donation.
