Marlyn Faught

Marlyn Louise Faught, daughter of the late Jacob Ellis and Marjorie (White) Ellis, was born on October 07, 1935, in Chillicothe, Missouri and departed this life on December 05, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was 87 years of age. She was loved and cherished by many people.

Marlyn was raised in Chillicothe, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1953. After graduation, she moved to Kansas City, and went to work for Hallmark Cards, and met Herschell “Von” Faught. On May 26, 1957, they were united in marriage and shared 61 years together. They loved to spend their free time playing golf and attending the Kansas City Chiefs games. Marlyn spent very special times with her great nieces: Chloe, Hannah, and her great nephew, Dane.

She is preceded in passing by her husband: Von; parents; and one great niece: Hannah. She is survived by her sisters: Carold Burdorf, Jackie (Dick) Propernick, Nancy Uhrmacher; brother: Jim (Carol) Ellis; and a special nephew: Brent Uhrmacher. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all truly miss her.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at a later date.
