Mary was born on September 17, 1958, to Walter E. and Roberta F. (Hoag) Meagher in Knobnoster, MO. She graduated from Winnetonka high school in Kansas City, MO. In 1976 she travelled to France to fulfill a modeling contract. She lived in Alaska, Michigan and Arizona before returning to Kansas City in 1993. Mary was a social butterfly and enjoyed her many years working at BigV CountryMart in Smithville Missouri. She was preceded in death by, the love of her life, Bud; her dad, Walter and her grandmother, Mary I. Hoag.

Mary was a loving mother and a kind, giving person. She married Ralph Buddy Manar on her 18th birthday in Kansas City Missouri. They had many wild adventures together. The couple had three children and eight grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2023 (exact date to be determined). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary's life.

Mary was brought up to believe that she could never live on her own due to having epilepsy. At 59 years of age she signed a lease for her own place. This was one of her major life goals and she was very proud. The family would like to think Jimmie and Kathy Blackburn for helping her dream become a reality.
