Mary McBee

Mary Louise "Lou" McBee, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022. She was born on September 01, 1937 to the late William John and Mary Evelyn Cowan in Kansas City, Kansas.
In her early career, Mary worked at Halls as an administrative assistant. She later stayed home with her young family for several years before returning to work for the Montgomery Wards Company Catalogue Division. She was married to Roy McBee and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before Roy's passing in 2021.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a kind, patient mother, grandmother, friend etc. that would do anything for you. She was a wonderful cook and was particularly known for her pies and cobblers which were made on a weekly basis. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Chiefs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother: Raymond "Wayne" Cowan; Alberta Hutsler, Alice Johnson, and Sharon Johnson.
Mary is survived by her daughter: Terri (Patrick) Merrigan; and two sons: Randy McBee (Julie Willett) and Jeff (Ruth) McBee; as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held for immediate family.
