Mary Jean Koll Thompson, 82, of Kansas City, Mo passed away June 19, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday June 22nd at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1701 NE 96 Street, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will precede services 9:30 – 11:00 am. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery.
Mary was born April 30, 1933 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Herman and Evelyn (Heiser) Koll. Mary graduated from Winside High School and attended Wayne State College for one year. On June 8, 1952, Mary and Jim Thompson were united in marriage at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Winside. Mary enjoyed working as a book keeper for several companies. She also enjoyed reading and her bridge club. Mary was especially a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jim, 4 children, Robert (Shelley), Donna, Terri Sims (Randall), Coleyn Stroud (Vince), 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
