Minnie Louise Siemers's Obituary

Minnie Louise Siemers, 97, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026.

Minnie was born in Percival, Iowa to John and Lillian Wright. At a young age, her family moved to Nebraska, where she attended school. She began working and it was in that workplace that she met the love of her life, William Glen Siemers. They were united in marriage on February 25, 1947, and together were blessed with two children. Minnie took great pride in being the very best “house manager,” a role she proudly embraced. She and her husband regularly tended to their impressive vegetable garden, and from those homegrown foods she crafted countless delicious meals, pies, and canned goods. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, and she was often heard saying with a smile, “If you don’t get full, it’s your fault.” Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, William; her daughter, Marilyne Willis; three brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her son, Warren (Barbara) Siemers; her grandchildren, Kristie Byers (Mike), Stacie Orr (Mike), Lisa Wigert (Todd), and Jason Siemers (Jacky); seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Siemers, Nina Berry, Brianna Welzig, Selise Bernhardt, Kahlina Siemers, Cassidy Wigert, and Harper Siemers; two great-great-grandchildren, Hudson Siemers and Paisley Siemers; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery - Lakeside Chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am, and burial.
