Nancy Lee

Nancy M. Lee, 87 went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3, 2021.

Nancy was born on February 23, 1934 to Cyril and Lura Pope in Coffeyville, KS. When she was 14, her family moved to the Kansas City area where she graduated from North Kansas City High School. On February 19, 1955 she married Howard Lee and from this marriage they had two children. Nancy was a member of the First Christian Church of North Kansas City for over 70 years. She enjoyed participating in many of the church activities and committees, including the vocal and handbell choirs and baking dozens of cakes for the Micah Ministry. It was said, “If a bus was going somewhere to help someone, then she was on it.“ Her positive attitude and caring nature was extended to anyone she met.  The two most important things in her life were her family and her church.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Howard Lee; her parents and five siblings. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her son, James (Michele) Lee of Huntersville, NC; daughter, Janet (Bradford) Culver of Kansas City, MO; sister, Marsha Wilson; sister-in-law, Judy Breshears; grandchildren, Jillian and Erin Lee, Shelby (Kip) Sanchez, Spencer and Paige Culver; and great grandchild, Savannah Sanchez.

Services will be held at the First Christian Church of NKC on Thursday, July 8 , 2021; with the visitation beginning at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am, followed by a private burial at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
