Opal Wood

Opal Wood, 88, of Lawson, MO passed away May 22, 2025. Opal was born March 11, 1937 in rural Linn County, MO to the late Jay Lowell and Delphia Irene (Kirby) Ewing.

Opal is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Wood and her youngest sons Dennis Lamp and Larry Wood.

Survivors include her sister Frances Lee Hampton, her oldest sons David (Connie) Lamp, David (Lisa) Wood; daughter-in-laws LeAnne Lamp, and Liz Young; 9 grandchildren Brandon (Shannon) Arnett, Derrick Arnett, Sam Lamp, Sarah Lamp, Andrew (Heather) Wood, Dustin Wood, Andrea (Patrick) Short, Justin (Megan) Wood; 12 great grandchildren Aidan, MaKayla, MaKinzi, Logan, Maci, Bayleigh, Leighton, Lauren, Drake, Haley Ty, Evelyn Rose, Macson; 3 great great grandsons Zyier, Kian, and Quinen.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 28, 2025 10 am to 11 am with graveside services following at 11 am in Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City MO 64155. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www.terraceparkfh.com.
