Pacita Figueroa, born on September 14, 1935, left this world on June 28, 2025. She was a remarkable individual whose legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
For over 25 years, Pacita dedicated her life to education as a beloved teacher. Specializing in Tagalog, she inspired countless high school and college students, imparting not only language skills but also values of compassion and discipline. Her strict demeanor was complemented by her warm heart, earning her the respect and admiration of peers and students alike. Pacita held various positions throughout her career, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her profession and a strong work ethic that served as a model for many.
Pacita’s love for family and education was foundational to her life; she held these values close to her heart. She was a devoted mother, whose love and adoration for her family knew no bounds. Her nurturing spirit provided strength and warmth, fostering a close-knit family environment that will be remembered fondly.
Known for being impeccably put together, Pacita took pride in her appearance. She enjoyed evenings out, relishing the joy of dressing her best and sharing lovely dinners with friends. Shopping was not just a pastime for her but a passion, reflecting her vibrant personality. Pacita was a woman of great faith, and she found comfort and guidance in her beliefs, which influenced how she engaged with the world around her.
As we remember Pacita Figueroa, we honor a life full of dedication, love, and strength. Pacita is preceded in death by her parents Procesr and Aleja Portela; her husband, Antonio Figueroa; and her son, Cyrus Figueroa.
She is survived by her daughter Arvin Figueroa; granddaughters, Hennie Figueroa-Creason (Dustin); Henedine Foster (Matthew); great grandson, Colin Creason; and her brother, Ludimico Portela.
A visitation will be held on July 8, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Parish, from 10:00 to 11:00, immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00, St. Patrick’s Parish 1357 NE 42nd Terr, Kansas City Missouri 64116, followed by a graveside service at 12:30, located at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW. 108th street, Kansas City Missouri.
