Patricia Landes

Patricia Landes, 86, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born June 26, 1937, in Marysville, Kansas to the late Arlo and Dorothy (Lillibridge) Cottrell.

As a young girl, Patricia was involved in 4-H, and was a Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She continued her love for the outdoors and flowers her entire life. She married Ernest A. Landes Jr. on October 7, 1960; they remained happily married until Ernest passed away in 1998. She enjoyed bowling, bunco and was a huge Royals fan. She attended numerous Royals games including the 2012 All-Star Game, and the Playoff/World Series games of 2014-2015.

She is survived by her children Ernest A. Landes III, Carla Phelps, Linda (Mark) Owen, Becky (Sheldon Anderson) Capper; grandchildren Athena, Melissa, Richard, Ryan, Weston, Raegan, Morgan, Samuel, John, Kelsay, and Shyla. Great-grandchildren: Claire, Connor, Haisley, Rowan, Cassian, Aurora, Lorenzo, and one more on the way. She is also survived by her brother Steven Cottrell, and other extended family and friends.  

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers Jim and John Cottrell.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 5-7PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home 801 NW Shoal Creek Parkway, funeral service will be Thursday at 10 AM at the funeral home. If you so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s Memory to the American Heart Association.
