Patricia Lee Wright Zurbuchen

Patricia Lee Wright Zurbuchen, 70, of Liberty, MO, passed away April 2, 2002, at her home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.

Pat was born April 21, 1931, in North Kansas City, MO, to Roscoe Conkling and Faye Champ Wright. She graduated from North Kansas City High School, and modeled for Emery Bird Thayer and The Jones Store in the late 1940s. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert D. Zurbuchen, on August 5, 1950, in North Kansas City. Since 1962, they lived on a farm near Smithville, MO, and moved to Liberty two years ago. Pat was a devoted Christian and lived her life accordingly. For over 40 years, she was actively involved in churches and ministries. She taught young girls Sunday School at Open Door Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS, and most recently she sang in the choir, decorated the church and served in the nursery at Eagle Heights Baptist Church. She also volunteered with the City Union Mission and the Gospel Missionary Union. Pat's love and nurturing of family, her positive, up-lifting approach to life and her smile will always be remembered. She is survived by her husband, Bob; a brother, John F. Wright of Milwaukie, OR; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Hammons and Nancy Beth Zurbuchen; a son, Steven Robert Zurbuchen; and four granddaughters. (Arrangements: Mt.
