Penny Swadley

April 22, 1949 — July 19, 2024

Penny Swadley, a beloved woman who touched the hearts of many, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2024 She was known for her warm and loving nature, especially as a devoted grandmother who cherished her grandchildren more than anything in the world.

Born on April 22, 1949, to Lawrence and Wanda Kesterson, Penny led a life filled with love, compassion, and meaningful connections. One of her proudest accomplishments was her nearly four-decade-long marriage to her husband Marshall Swadley, a testament to their enduring bond and commitment to each other.

Penny found joy and fulfillment in simple pleasures such as cooking, with her specialty being a mouth-watering homemade dish of mac n cheese. In addition to her culinary talents, she dedicated her time to knitting and crocheting hats that she generously donated to local churches and schools, embodying her generous spirit and desire to help others.

Family and friends will always remember Penny for the love she shared so freely and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by two loving children: Angie (Rick) Warnick, and Andrew Tucker (Andrew Cannon); grandchildren: Eric and Tiffany Lee; as well as 8 great grandchildren.

May Penny Swadley rest in peace knowing that she was truly loved and that her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
