Roger Lee Arbuckle, 86, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital.

In 1961, Roger married Karen (Bowring) Arbuckle, and together they raised two sons, Shawn (1962) and Todd (1966).

In the 1970s, Roger appeared on the local television variety show Cafferty and Company as an organist, accompanying Jack Cafferty. He had previously been offered a national tour with Liberace, a testament to his talent, but chose to remain in Kansas City with his family.

As owner of Arbuckle Music, Roger became a beloved fixture in the local music scene. He played for hundreds of weddings and special events, and his performances were often featured in local television commercials. He also provided piano and organ rentals to area venues, meeting many well-known entertainers along the way.

Roger served for over 30 years as the organist at North Cross United Methodist Church, where he was honored with the title of Organist Emeritus. His dedication to his craft and his community left a lasting legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and June Arbuckle; his sister, Marilynn Rose Lutes (2020); his former wife, Karen Arbuckle (2006); and his son, Shawn Lee Arbuckle (2003).

He is survived by his devoted companion, Marianne Horned; his son Todd Arbuckle and daughter-in-law Lorraine Arbuckle; his grandson Alexander Arbuckle; and his former daughter-in-law Melanie Jones Arbuckle. Roger's music, laughter, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
