Ron was born and raised in Sumner, Missouri on February 20th, 1937. Upon graduating high school, he began working at Sheffield Steel in 1955. Ron and Doris were married August 28th, 1960, a choice he often described as “The best decision he ever made after choosing Jesus.” Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964, embodying the values of honor, duty, and service. His dedication to his work and preserving the founding ideals of his country left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Returning to Kansas City in 1966, Ronald embarked on a successful career with American Family Insurance before founding the Antioch Insurance Agency in 1983, where he worked until his retirement in 2008.

Ronald's dedication to public service extended beyond his professional life, as he served as an Elector twice, once for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984, and once for John McCain in 2008. Ron was Chairman of the Clay County Central Committee for several terms and also served on the State Committee. Ron was dedicated to saving our Republic for future generations. Ron also enjoyed the game of golf where his competitive nature shined. His commitment to his family was evident. His support included teaching them to be avid hunters, backing them in their athletic pursuits, and most importantly teaching them to love Jesus first. All who knew Ron found a few things evident: his faith in Jesus, his love for dessert, and his cheerful sense of humor even in difficult times. Ronald Muck's life was a testament to love, dedication, and faith. May his memory continue to encourage those who knew him.
