A graduate of high school, Royan embarked on a commendable career with the postal service, where she devoted 22 years of hard work to serving her community. Her commitment and hardworking nature were evident throughout her career.

Throughout her life, Royan exhibited a quiet demeanor, but her warmth and affection for others were always felt by those fortunate enough to know her. As a teenager, she shared a special bond with her family's dog, Rusty, whom she affectionately referred to as "her dog." This connection exemplified Royan's enduring love for animals.

Royan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Pherigo, and her baby sister Constance Pherigo.

She is survived by her brother, David Pherigo; sister Jamie Close; niece, Staley Wessel (Rick), as well as 3 grand- nephews; one, grand-niece; and a great-grand-niece Lillian.
