Carol Combs

Ruby Carol Combs, 71, passed away, January 24, 2023 from small cell lung cancer. Carol, as she liked to be called, was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Anna Mae (Parks) Combs. Carol was born on March 09, 1951, in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Mo in 1969.

She worked for Travelers Insurance Company and moved to Dallas, TX, where she attended the University of Texas, Dallas and received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She then moved back to Independence and began working for Gateway Computer Company.

Carol is survived by her sister: Robin (Rick) Rother, nephews: Roy and Matt (Crystal) Rother, and a niece: Lindsay Rother, as well as her great nephews and nieces.

Carol loved to keep up on politics, play her computer games, and visit casinos.

She will be dearly missed.

Per her wishes, there will be a private graveside service for the immediate family at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
