Ruth W. Ward

Ruth W. Ward 92, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was born in Esbon, Kansas on February 20, 1932, to the late William L. and Lillian M. (Coleman) Gurney.

Ruth was a dedicated stay at home mom who took excellent care of her husband and was involved with her son’s activities while they were growing up. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was very proud of each of them.

She is survived by her son Donald (Molly) Ward; 4 grandchildren Jacob (Hannah) Ward, Shelby (Tyler) Ivey, John Ward and Remi Ward she is also survived by her daughter in law, Carrie Ward and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Ramon, son Roy Ward and eight siblings.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10 AM, at the Lakeside Chapel at Terrace Park Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions in Ruth’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
