In Loving Memory of Stacey

With hearts that will never be the same, we announce the passing of our beloved Stacey.

Stacey Ann Rodriguez Johnston, 43, of Kansas City, MO, gained her wings on June 25, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1983, in Houston, Texas to Alfred Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez. Stacey lived a life centered around the love of her family.

Stacey leaves behind her husband Bart Johnston. She is the proud mother to her children Sabrina (Briar), Matthew (Taylor), and Madison; and stepchildren Seth (Rose), Logan (Jessica), and Paige (Derrick). She was a beloved Gigi to sweet Whitlee, as well as Sophia, Alivia, Allysa, Leiah, Ace, Laniyah, Lincoln, Jaxson, and Cooper.

She is survived by her deeply connected siblings Stephanie (Dustin), Savannah, Samantha (Cody), Felix (Madi), Aaron, Susan (Alex), Sylvia (Park), Freddie, and Sandy, along with many cherished nieces and nephews who brought joy and laughter in her life: Anthony, Kaden, Christian, Micheal, Mason, Josephina, Ryan, Sophia, Ariel, Tysen, Alfred, Aubree, Rylee, Monica, Isac, Alana, Amelia, Mark, Nicholas, and Emma.

Stacey was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Rodriguez and grandmother, Eva Windle.

Stacey was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, and a safe place for so many. Family was the center of her world. She lived life, taking nothing for granted. She loved to cook meals and dreamed of owning her own food truck one day. She knew no stranger and made an impact on everyone she met. She took pride in making small moments, big moments. She was a giver and was committed to making life a little extra special. She loved to dress up and celebrate life with the most beautiful smile. She was strong and never settled for anything other than choosing happiness. Her heart was pure gold and will be forever woven into the lives of everyone she knew.

Above all else, Stacey was a mother. Her children were the greatest, joy, purpose, and love of her life. If she could leave them with one final message, it would be the words she held so close to her heart:

I’ll like you for always,

As long as I’m living,

my baby you’ll be.”
