Stanley Gene Brooke passed away on September 23, 2026.

Stan was born on December 10, 1941, to Norman H. Brooke and Bertha May Brooke. He was the ninth child born to this union.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Beatrice, Marjorie, Clara, and Cleta; his brothers, Norman and Ora; his son, Steven; his first wife, Sharon Sue (Curd) Brooke, who passed away in January 1987; and his second wife, Sharon Kay Johnson Brooke, who passed away in April 2025.

He is survived by his sisters, Vera Peregrine of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and Carol Combs of Pennsylvania; his sons, Phillip Brooke of Madison, Alabama, Bryan Brooke of Bates City, Missouri, and Mark Brooke of Saint Joseph, Missouri; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Stanley will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.

A Celebration of Stan's life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 29th, with visitation beginning at 1:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 3:00pm.
