Terrance "Terry" Baker

Terry D. Baker, 70, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 27, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home. The visitation will begin at 11 am Saturday, October 31, 2020 with funeral service following at 12 pm. Burial will take place following services at Terrace Park Cemetery.

Mr. Baker was born on August 24, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas. The family moved to Kansas City, MO in 1989. Terry was employed with Cains Coffee Co. as a salesman for 30 years. After his retirement, he drove a school bus route for North Kansas City School District. Because of Terry’s heart of gold, the school kids were like family to him. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa. Family was his passion; he loved attending and supporting all of his grandchildren’s activities. He’s is a diehard KU basketball fan. He knew no stranger and you would find him talking to anyone and everyone about basketball. ROCK CHALK!!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Mary Baker and his sister, Karen Bowmaker.

He will be forever loved and greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, LuAnn Baker; son, Eric (Leah) Baker; daughter, Holly (Scott) Salisbury, 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Kansas City School Education Foundation to fund school meals for children in need. Please place a memo for “School Lunches.”
