Terry Joseph "TJ" McIntire

Terry Joseph McIntire, 42, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on January 2, 2026. Known as “TJ” (or “Peachals” or “Peachyboy” per his sisters), he was born on March 16, 1983 to Virgil “Terry” and Linda McIntire. TJ was the youngest of five children and their only son.

From an early age, TJ’s curiosity and spirited nature led him on many adventures. A true daredevil, he loved being outdoors and embracing life with energy and enthusiasm. As he grew older, his interests expanded to include playing video games, listening to music at full volume, treating his car as though it belonged on a NASCAR track, and spending time in the kitchen. TJ genuinely enjoyed cooking and, just as much, enjoying the meals he prepared. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family, especially the moments shared with his three children, who were the center of his world.

TJ was preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister, Teressa Smith.

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his parents, Terry and Linda McIntire; his children, Joshua-James Joseph McIntire, Jaxson-Levi Kurtis McIntire, and Jemma-Lynn Nikkol McIntire; his siblings, Tracy (Justin) Ray, Trina (Matt) Merritt, and Tiffany (James) McDermott; his nieces and nephews, Shelby, Savannah (Jake), Sidney (Zach), Spencer, Mattie, Brandon, Cristian, Lillyan, Eddie, Jacob, Mercedes, Essence, Tristen (Greg), James, and Jaimeson; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson, Mia, Bowen, Mikaylynn, Ariel , Sophia, Aubree, Kanon, Simora, Isabelle, Kaden, Rhyder, Raelynn and Gregory III; along with many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Terrace Park Cemetery - Lakeside Chapel, with inurnment following.
