Wanda Kraft

April 16, 1928 — May 11, 2021

Wanda Jean Kraft, 93, formerly of Gladstone, passed away May 11, 2021. Visitation will be Friday, May 14, from 10-11am followed by services at 11am, all at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2003 NE Englewood Road, Kansas City, where Wanda was a longtime member. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Wanda was born on April 16, 1928 in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Elbert Abe Stacy and Flora Alice (Stevenson) Stacy. She married Charles “Bud” Kraft on August 7, 1949. Wanda worked for International Milling Co. until her two children were born. She later worked for the North Kansas City School District cafeterias for several years. After Bud retired, Wanda and Bud both volunteered at North Kansas City Hospital. They spent over 30 winters in Texas, where they were associate members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Harlingen and were volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the local food bank. Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Charles, in 1999, and her husband, Charles “Bud” in 2017. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Kraft and wife, Terry; three granddaughters: Constance, Rachel, and Emily; two grandsons, Charles and Jonathan; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Jo Ann Wilkerson and husband, Tom, of Lenexa, Ks.
