Willa Ruth English, was born on May 26, 1926, and departed this life on December 14, 2024. As a devoted homemaker, Willa dedicated her life to nurturing her family, and she volunteered her time at the food pantry in Parkville, Missouri, embodying the spirit of generosity and kindness.
Willa was known for her adventurous spirit, always eager to explore new places and make lasting memories. Her travels took her to various areas, enriching her life with experiences that she eagerly shared with those around her. She had a special love for her grandchildren, and her home was often filled with their laughter as she was always ready to play and create joyful moments with them.
Willa loved the Lord deeply, a testament to the way she lived her life through faith and compassion. Her warm smile and open heart have left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to resonate within her family and community. Willa Ruth English will be missed dearly but will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love, grace, and unwavering faith. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church.
Willa was preceded in death by her husband, James E. English; Her parents: Anson A. Maher, Jr. and Janet Maher; siblings: Anson A. Maher, Jr., James (Dee) Maher, Janet O’Donnell, and Crissie Allen. She is survived by her children: Nancy (Don) Kendall, Cathy (Calvin) Diffey, Jim (Terri) English, and Betty Marino; as well as nine grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
