WILLIAM MULNIX

William Herschel Mulnix, 82, of Gladstone, Mo passed away March 21, 2011. Funeral services are 10:00 am Friday March 25th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice.William was born March 24, 1928 in New Cambria, Mo to Ralph and Vera Hulett Mulnix. He served in the US Coast Guard from 1948 - 1952. He worked as a welder/mechanic at TWA prior to retiring in 1992. Prior to TWA, he worked at Benson Manufacturing Company from 1946 - 1971, where he was listed in the Smithsonian Institute for his work on the Apollo 11 backpacks. William was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother, Delbert Mulnix. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Clara (Shatto) Mulnix, daughters, Denise Williams, Melinda Ritchey, and husband, Steven, Rhonda Dugan, and husband, Danny, Robin Mulnix, grandson, Nicholas Williams, and wife, Dawn, great granddaughter, Mya Williams, sisters, Wanda Thomas, and husband, D.L., Norma Siemens, and husband, Charles, Phyllis Naylor, and husband, Ted.
