William "Bill" Kinkade II

October 12, 1948 — March 5, 2022

Kansas City

William “Bill” Lynnwood Kinkade II entered the gates of Heaven on March 05, 2022. He was born to the late William L Kinkade and the late Barbara Mitchell on October 12, 1948. In 1972 he married the love of his life, Vicki (Janes) Kinkade and they shared 49 years of marriage.

Bill graduated from Park Hill High School in 1967.

Alongside his father and brother, he owned and operated Kinkade Tire Company in North Kansas City, Missouri.

He was proud to serve in the 101st Airborne in the Vietnam War. Bill and his wife were highly involved in raising funds to build the Kansas City Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fountain, which was dedicated in 1986.

He will be remembered for his avid love for the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Go Hogs!

Bill was a man of many great attributes. He was kind, loving, caring, and had a great sense of humor. He was generous to all that he knew. He never met a stranger. As his children grew up, Bill spent time making sure that he was present, attending many games, recitals and countless school events. He even danced on stage at The Kansas City Music Hall in one of his daughter’s dance recitals. Bill was especially devoted to his seven grandchildren. “Pa” never missed a play, concert, recital, swim meet, or event. He often enjoyed going on walks and skipping rocks and fishing with them. Bill always took care of those that he loved and he will be greatly missed by all of those that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Elizabeth Ann Kinkade.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; son: Jason (Megan) Kinkade; daughter: Sarah (Marc) Canovi; brother: Jim Kinkade; and grandchildren: Kelton, Olivia, Ashton, Liam, Nolan, Oriana, and Patrick.
