Donna Thompson

Donna Marie (Iske) Thompson was born August 28, 1952 to Gail L. Iske and Ruby Lillian (Shaw) Iske. Donna grew up in the Gashland Area and attended Gashland Baptist Church participating in G.A. Donna attended Clarney Elementary and Oak Park High School, graduating in 1970. After graduation she attended Alex Angel Beauty School receiving her Beautician’s License.

On December 14, 1972 Donna met Randy Thompson while bowling with friends at NKC Pro Bowl. After a brief courtship the two were united in marriage on February 17, 1973. To this union were born two children: Bryan Carl Thompson and April Marie Thompson.

Those left behind to mourn her loss and celebrate her life are her husband of 47 years, Randy; children, Bryan and April; three grandchildren Brayden Conner, Ava Marie, and Adyson Claire Thompson; two step-grandchildren, Keirstyn Kennedy and Kyleigh Kennedy; one great-grandchild, Fallyn; and one brother, Larry Iske.

Donna has always been active in her church. She and Randy served as youth leaders at Waskom TX UMC then moved to Missouri and was a Sunday School teacher, Praise Team member, and sang in a trio called, “Three-fold.” Donna also participated in many church cantatas. She enjoyed singing praises to her Lord. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 beginning at 10 am at Terrace Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11am with burial following at Terrace Park Cemetery.
