Karen Sue Hadley, 76, of Smithville, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2021.

She was born September 12, 1944, to Lawrence Britt & Alice (Miller) Britt in Smithville, Missouri. Karen graduated from Smithville High School in May 1962. During High School Karen was a Cheerleader, Homecoming Queen, and an active member of the band and glee club during her time in Highschool. In any true love story, it starts with once upon a time and Karen’s love story is not different, she knew her true love since the 4th grade and married Lawrence Hadley on April 15, 1963 after graduating the year prior. Together they had 2 children Larry and Eric.

Karen was a loving wife and mother.  She enjoyed cooking; going on motorcycle rides, boating and fishing for Crappy. She loved attending church. In the early years she loved to garden and do some yard work. Her and Lawrence would say out of all the trips they took the one to Alaska would have been their favorite.

Karen was preceded in death by her Parents Lawrence and Alice Britt and her Son Larry Hadley. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Lawrence Hadley, Son Eric Hadley, Daughter-in-Law May Hadley, Brother Kenny Britt, Sister-in- Law Joyce Britt, and many nieces and nephews. Karen will be missed by all that knew her.

Services will be Friday, April 2, 2021, Visitation starting at 1PM with Service at 2PM followed by a Committal service all at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers family is requesting memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
