Michael MacMahon

Michael J. MacMahon, 77, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021. He was born on February 1, 1944, in Galway, Ireland. Family will be having a private inurnment at Terrace Park Cemetery later this month.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Corene MacMahon; daughter, Michelle (John) DiGiovanni and his grandchildren, Olivia and Nicholas. Michael’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Saint Luke’s North Hospital, The University of Kansas Medical Center, The University of Kansas Cancer Center and Dr. Richard McKittrick for the care they provided Michael during his courageous fight with cancer.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Tiffany Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.

Michael will be truly missed by all that knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Michael’s honor to The University of Kansas Cancer Center or Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
